if you think about the education of your children or grandchildren,
think about why it is the way it is...
does it need to be?

Thank you for this, I have listened to a few of his other talks and always nod my head in agreement the whole time I am listening. I am a teacher, and often feel like I don't quite 'fit in' I don't like how education is 'taught'.
ReplyDeleteI also love love love your post yesterday, people often forget that 'just being home' - is actaully one of the most important things you can do with your children.
Loving your work! Jade x
This is very close to my heart. I was a non conformist at school and always questioned and broke the rules. I was delighted when at University to discover a subject - XB. It validated my problems with the education system and changed my life. I think about it everyday and it makes me worry about my childrens personalities and learning styles within the education system.
ReplyDeletePre children I was an adult educator and I used my experience with XB to actively encouraged my students to break the learning "rules". Mostly they couldn't but every now and again I would have someone who had a real lightbulb moment and it would change their thinking and even their entire life. I've had a few reports of how realising they had been conditioned into a way of thinking or job etc made them completely change their lives.
