We sat down on the foreshore at Geraldton to eat fish and chips at 6.30pm on Sunday evening.
K - two was perhaps the best behaved of the four of us - except for the last 40 minutes into Geraldton which required high powered nursery rhymes. W was quite amazing and I must say that the two adults were pretty good too. One flat tyre. A warning light that was caused by the famous red dust setting off a fault - that required no work except a checkout.
If you look at the map below you can see our start right in the middle of the right hand side of the map. Pipalyatjara is about 10km in from Surveyor Generals Corner.
We drove to Warburton then on to the bitumen at Laverton where we spent the night. We then went on to Leonora and up a bit before turning left to Mount Magnet - then we were on the run west.
